There just isn't enough hours in my day lately, but I'm very happy to report that I'm spending the hours that I do have working on illustration and comics.
To the side is Trackball, a character created for my friends' company Free the Line Design (site isn't live as of this posting, but I'll announce the launch when it happens!). It's things like Trackball that make it impossible for me to be frustrated having a full time job while I use up all of my free time working on my career - this stuff is just too cool to do.
Granted, when I'm done with my latest project (a comic for an education company) I plan on taking a few days (or a week) catching up Xbox games and movies, but until then you won't see the usual fare on en•Blog. That's right, I'm sorry but no Pig Post and no Employees Only until I get this massive project done. With any luck I'll get more projects like it in the future, and I can call the art my full time job!
Until then I'd like to introduce you to a couple of sites created by my friends at Free the Line Design. The first is...
DeidraDeLosMuertos.com
A refreshingly cool looking personal blog that I'm not just featuring because en•Blog was featured; no, it's simply designed, and the content is perfect for a casual reader to check out. It's like the appetizer tray at a party - nice to look through, easy enough to sample, and quite possibly tasty enough to spoil your dinner.
TheUnhype.com
Another site that recently featured yours truly - but once again that's only part of the charm. The Unhype is curated by the ever talented Bear the Astronot, and as such promises to be a treasure trove of musical podcasts and entertainment. I suggest checking out the podcasts and starting out with the Indie Dance Party, which is an awesome listen.
And there you have it. I'll throw another filler post up most likely on Thursday, but if not...see you next time!
